LONGEVITY TIPS

Do not allow any vacuum hoses to remain loose, disconnected or broken. First, a faulty vacuum hose (or line) means that some component cannot be working properly since it is not receiving a full vacuum source. Secondly, unfiltered air must not be allowed to enter the engine through vacuum line defects. Since most vacuum lines are connected to the engine after the point of air filtration, an open vacuum line will permit dirty air to enter the engine. This can cause abrasive wear.
